10 Best Hotels Near Bali Nightlife

By Tibs
There are several reasons why you should choose a hotel near the nightlife in Bali: First, the traffic is terrible, even late at night, so if you go by car you will probably get stuck either in Jalan Legian, in Jalan Pantai Kuta or in Jalan Oberoi. Second, taxi drivers at night will try to cheat you most of the time, sometimes charging you 5 times the normal fare. Third, it is not safe to use a motorbike, particularly if you intend to drink. Not only you are at risk of an accident (see my article about Travel Insurance), you could also be the prey of bag snatchers who operate between Kuta and Legian (read Bali Crime Wave)

You can make your holidays much more enjoyable by choosing a hotel in the right location, walking distance from the most famous nightclubs and bars. I selected 10 hotels, and in case that's not enough, I also added links to the best ones in each nightlife area. The properties listed here are all girl-friendly or guest-friendly, meaning they will allow you to add a last minute guest if you decide to bring someone home after a night out.

I only focused in the area of Kuta, Legian, Seminyak and Denpasar, the busiest ones for party-goers. I'm not so familiar with Sanur so if there is an accommodation you recommend, please write a comment below.

From my experience, Agoda is the best booking site for Bali. They have the best prices and the most choice. They also have a dedicated portal with special deals for Bali hotels that you can access here: Bali Hotel Deals. Don't forget to create an account to be able to view the secret offers.

Best Hotels For Kuta Nightlife:
If you want to be close from Kuta nightlife, you should choose a hotel around Skygarden. You can click on the following links for all the options available: Hotels Near Skygarden in Kuta.

Below is my personal selection of hotels either very close from the nightlife of Kuta, or with a in-house nightclub/bar.

Budget (less than 50$ per night):
Love Hotel By Fashion TV
In-house bar: Fashion Bar
500m from Skygarden, VIP, Bounty, Paddy's Pub, etc

Harper Kuta
In front of Skygarden

Mid-Range (100$):
In-house live music bar: Hard Rock Café
Walking distance from Velvet, Hypnotized and 1 kilometer from Skygarden

Expensive (over 200$):
In-house nightclubs: Velvet and Hypnotized
500m from Skygarden

Best Hotels For Seminyak Nightlife:
Seminyak nightlife is spread compared to Kuta. I recommend you to stay in one of the following areas:

- Popular restaurants and open-air cafés (La Favela, Rumours, Red Carpet): Hotels near Oberoi Street
- Chic nightclubs, lounges and beach clubs (Ku De Ta, Potato Head, W, Gatsby, Shanghai Baby, Mint): Hotels near Petitenget Street
- Gay nightlife: Hotels near Dhyana Pura Street

My most recommended hotels in Seminyak are the following:

Budget (under 50$)
Ping Hotel
In front of the gay nightclubs/bars like Bali Joe

Ananda
200 meters from Oberoi restaurants/cafés

Petitenget 501 Apparthotel (around 70$)
Walking distance from Woo bar, Potato Head Beach Club, Mirror, Mint

Mid-Range (100$)
In-house nightclub: Jenja

IZE Seminyak
Top location, short walking distance from Ultimo, La Favela, Rumours, etc.

Expensive (more than 400$)
W Hotel
In-house bar: Woo Bar
Near Potato Head, Mint and Mirror

Best Girl-Friendly Hotels For Denpasar Nightlife:
Denpasar nightlife is most interesting around Teuku Umar, with the Akasaka nightclub. For a complete list of accommodation nearby, you can read: Best Hotels Near Akasaka Club.

The ones I recommend the most from this list are Ibis Style Teuku Umar and Amaris Hotel. Both are cheap, girl-friendly and a short 2-minute taxi ride from Akasaka. You could walk there as well but the sidewalk is not very practical.
