Shahrazad Arab Disco (Manila)

By Thibaud (Jakarta100bars) →
Shahrazad is a bar/disco with mostly Arab music and Arab customers from Lebanon and Saudi Arabia. There are a lot of prostitutes who are quite fat, probably because it is how they suit Arab men's taste. You also have a few Moroccan prostitutes who are quite pretty. You have 2 rooms, one with a busy dance floor and the other one, more quiet with pool tables. Not a bad place if you like Arab music.

Bottoms Bar Strip Club (Manila)

By Thibaud (Jakarta100bars) →
Bottoms Bar is probably the naughtiest bar in Burgos street, Makati, Manila. It is a hostess bar like many other places such as Plan B or Bourbon  where you will find about 40 or more prostitutes/dancers/lady companions. You can buy them a ladies' drink for around 400PHP and take them home with you if you pay a bar fine of 3,900 PHP + a tip to the girl of around 3,000 PHP (note that the ladies drink you buy can be deducted from the bar fine). What makes Bottoms bar more naughty and sexy compared to the competition is that it is the only place in Burgos with topless dancers. Furthermore, it is also a blowjob bar. For that, you just need to ask a girl to take you to one of their semi private booth. Not all of the girls will do that though. Club Haze (Manila)

By Thibaud (Jakarta100bars) →
If you are new to the Fort (in Bonifacio Global City), you might find that Club Haze is a bit hard to find as there are several buildings that look alike. It is next to Imperial Ice Bar and not far from Privé.  It is a medium-sized, mainstream music club playing EDM, Rn'B, Top 40 hits or any music that gets over 500M views on YouTube. It is designed in a simple way: The room is a square with the dancefloor in the middle, tables and sofas around, an the DJ on a podium. The décor is a bit pompous, that faux luxurious classic style usually popular in Chinese nightclubs.

Dandasha (Arab Club/ Belly Dance) - Manila

By Thibaud (Jakarta100bars) →
Dandasha is an arab club with belly dance performance every night. It is also a place with hostesses, most of whom you can bring back to your hotel after paying 3,900 bar fine and around 3,000 tips to the girl.

B-Side Reggae Bar (Manila)

By Thibaud (Jakarta100bars) →
B-Side The Collective is a bar particularly famous in Manila for organizing the Irie Sunday Reggae Nights. While Reggae is not at all the kind of music I listen to, I have to admit the place is pretty cool. It attracts an alternative crowd that you don't see elsewhere in the city. I was also surprised there was so many hot girls.

Fred's Revolucion (Cubao X, Metro Manila)

By Thibaud (Jakarta100bars) →
Fred's Revolucion is a Cuban-themed dive bar / neighborhood bar located in Cubao X in Quezon City, Metro Manila. It is one of the most popular drinking joints in that area along with Today X Future . Drinks are cheap, from around 50-60 PHP for a local beer to 180 PHP for cocktails. They also serve some popular international dishes, mostly junk food though, for less than 200 PHP.

Hobbit House (Midget Bar, Manila)

By Thibaud (Jakarta100bars) →
Hobbit House is a bar, restaurant and live music venue located in Ermita, Manila. It also has a branch in Boracay. It is themed after the hobbits from the Lord of the Rings and in particular, all its waiters are midgets, small people, dwarfs. At first I thought it was not really appropriate as I felt they were made fun of, but in the end it is a great way for many of them to get a steady job. People don't come to the Hobbit House to mock but first and foremost because of the friendly and unique atmosphere and the music.

Below Nightclub (ex Paradis) - New World Hotel Manila

By Thibaud (Jakarta100bars) →
Update 2017: Paradis has changed its name to BELOW . It is pretty much the same space and same concept that before. Located in the basement of the New World Hotel in Makati, Paradis Nightclub replaces Palladium. While Palladium was recommended, I didn't really feel Paradis was nice. It is big yet rarely crowded and it is in a weird T shape. The best nights to visit it would be on Tuesdays (Model Night) and Saturdays. They also have special themed events regularly. The music can be anything popular including pop, Rn'B, house, electronic, trance and oldies.

Hooch Bar at Lulu Restaurant (Makati, Manila)

By Thibaud (Jakarta100bars) →
Hooch is a trendy bar located in Salcedo Village, Makati, Manila. It is attached to the gourmet restaurant Lulu, headed by Chef Tom Hines. It is surfing on the global trend of "speakeasies", those bars that are popping up everywhere recreating a Prohibition-era atmosphere. If you travel a bit, you've probably seen a few of these, with a hipster mixologist behind the bar and a complex cocktail menu. In the case of Hooch, the mixologist is Englishman Jay Doy, one of the main reasons the bar is so popular with expats and local girls. You might not enjoy every drink he does, but for sure trying all of them is a good excuse for getting drunk (they have 104 signature cocktails so it might take a while though). You can also get food from Lulu, which serves a range of excellent comfort food from all over the planet.

Zero Point Nightclub (Manila)

By Thibaud (Jakarta100bars) →
Zero Point is one of the only nightclubs in Manila specializing in Hip-Hop and Rn'B. Many of its clients are really into it: They know the songs, they dress with street clothes, they wear hats and they walk like gangsters.  The place has a lot of girls, some of which may be hostesses or PR. On average they are quite young, between 18 and 25 years old. It seems like an easy pick-up place. The place is large with a main dance floor in the middle and plenty of space to sit down. They have lots of special events including pole dancing competitions, dancing battles and sexy dancers. The music is loud and there is always a DJ yelling on the microphone.

Cable Car (Manila)

By Thibaud (Jakarta100bars) →
Cable Car is a chain of pubs with currently 4 locations in Metro Manila. I visited the branch in The Fort, BGC, which is one of the happening drinking spots there. It is more lively than its closest competitor, Draft Gastropub , but the quality of the food and the choice of drinks is smaller. It is also cheaper. They serve international food, including many Filipino dishes. Prices start at around 200 PHP for a meal up to 600 PHP for a large pizza and 450 PHP for a pica-pica. Taste is average. A pint of Hoegaarden costs 240 PHP and a Rum Cola only 90 PHP.

Prime Upscale Club (Quezon City, Manila)

By Thibaud (Jakarta100bars) →
Prime Upscale Club is one of the best nightclubs in Quezon City. From all the party spots I visited there, Prime was the one with the hottest girls, the friendliest people and the most lively atmosphere. It also looks nicer than other clubs in the area (though the word"upscale" is a bit exaggerated). Clubbing in Quezon City is cheaper than in Manila , Makati or BGC and you have a younger crowd of mostly college students. There is no real dress code but I would advise you against dressing like a tourist if you want any chance to flirt with a girl (no short pants and no sandals).

G-String Hostess Bar (Makati, Manila)

By Thibaud (Jakarta100bars) →
G-String is one of the numerous hostess bars/nightclubs located in Burgos Street in Makati. It is next to Hollywood and Bourbon. All those bars work pretty much the same way with rather expensive girls and very expensive bar fines (over 100$ each). G-String is pretty enjoyable, mostly because girls are not pushing you for ladies drinks. A few came to talk to me and they were friendly even though I was not paying for anything. You had about 5 dancers on stage wearing bikinis and 50 in the bar. On average, I would say they were between 25 and 30 years old. Some were very cute and sexy.

Guilly's Bar and Club (Quezon City, Manila)

By Thibaud (Jakarta100bars) →
Guilly's is the oldest nightclub in Quezon City and one of the most popular. It is also one of the biggest and it is open every day including on Sunday. It has a more mature crowd than other nearby venues such as Prime, Cliniq or Vanity . As always in Quezon City, they offer reasonable prices. In particular, from 10pm to midnight on weekdays, you have a promotion on local beers (San Miguel) at 35 PHP while tequila shots only cost 88 PHP. After midnight, the price of spirits is between 150 PHP and 180 PHP and local beer costs around 80 PHP (130 PHP for imported). The entrance is free except on Friday and Saturday when you have a First Drink Charge (from 100 PHP to 300 PHP depending on the event).
