Pitstop Bar and Live Music Nightlife Jakarta (Hotel Sari Pan Pacific, Jalan Thamrin)

By The Jakarta Team →
Pleasant hotel bar, unfortunately not very happening. They have a decent live band on week-ends, and the crowd is mixed indonesian/expats, most of whom are guests from the hotel.  The day I set foot in Pitstop was a very special one, as it was the 100th bar I had been to in Jakarta. I finished the night early morning in Emerald Disco, which became my 107th. Operating Hours Everyday except Sunday: 5pm to 12pm (until 3am on Friday and Saturday night)

Satu Lagi Expat Bar (Hotel Kristal)

By Jakarta100bars →
Old-style expat bar, one of the most popular in South Jakarta with De Hooi . Very similar actually but a little less funky in my opinion. Food is ok, mostly greasy/hard to digest stuff. Good atmosphere with many loyal customers playing pool or watching sports. There is live acoustic music on Wednesdays and Fridays. No more ladies night though.

Stix Bar and Live Music (Park Lane Hotel)

By The Jakarta Team →
The Stix bar was one of the first Salsa bars in Jakarta. Good salsa/latino music live band. The crowd is above 30-something. Some working girls. Stix is very famous for its steaks (especially Australian Wagyu and Black Angus beef), which a few years ago where still hard to find in Jakarta so it was there or in BATS that we had to go to escape from the noodle and rice routine...

The Lounge (Hotel Le Grandeur Jakarta)

By Jakarta100bars →
The Lounge is the bar inside Le Grandeur Hotel in Mangga Dua. Surprinsingly for North Jakarta, it is not a seedy place but a classy Jazz lounge with modern design and great service. If you are staying in North Jakarta and you want a place without the usual house music/prostitution scene, I think that The Lounge is perfect. The live music starts at 8.30pm, everyday, and finishes at 00h30.

The Bar in Four Seasons Hotel

By Jakarta100bars →
Little know and quiet, "The Bar" is the lounge of the Four Seasons Hotel. It isn't very crowded, except with a few regulars who come to enjoy the live jazz music . Usually it happens 4 times a week but you may call them first to ask for more details.

Terrazza Bianco, Hotel Akmani (Jalan Wahid Hasyim)

By Jakarta100bars →
Being an observant soul, I noticed an intriguing ad outside the Akmani, promising 'all the beer you can drink' for Rp 130,000 between 7pm and 10pm on a daily basis, so in we went last Thursday. It's located on what they call the Podium level of the first floor, which is basically one floor up from ground. The place is very dark, but clean and paradoxically bright, - after all, bianca does mean white - and its furnishing and decor is extremely modernist.

Tiga Puluh - 30 - Jakarta Hotel Bar (Le Meridien Hotel, Jalan Sudirman)

By The Jakarta Team →
Bar with live band full of old prostitutes, a bit more hip-hop than CJ's and Bats. The crowd is more older and less funky than those of Bats and Cj's. Expensive and not really worth it for me but it has many fans both among expatriates and local people. An old favourite of Jakarta's nightlife.

Velvet Bar, Lounge and Live music (Bar of the Jakarta's Hotel Red Top)

By The Jakarta Team →
Velvet means purple Velvet is the bar located in the Red Top hotel. It has live music during the week and DJs on week-ends. Clients are mostly Indonesians staying in the hotel. Some prostitutes working there. Plays International and local standards on request. Not a bar I would go back to as it is too quiet.
