Canggu and Seminyak Nightlife (Updated 2022)

By Tibs →
Canggu and Seminyak are now the best areas for nightlife in Bali. Below are the best bars and nightclubs there to party during your holiday: Canggu Nightlife: Where to Party? Canggu is a growing area that covers basically the north of Jalan Batu Belig (Kerobokan/Seminyak) up to Jalan Pererenan. It is popular with young foreigners in their early 20s to mid-thirties, including surfers, digital nomads, influencers, gap-year travelers, backpackers, and probably some rich kids with nothing else to do than partying. Clubs, bars, cafés, and restaurants, are spread out along the main streets, and more particularly Jalan Batu Bolong, Jalan Pantai Berawa, Jalan Semat, Jalan Subak Sari, or Jalan Nelayan. Generally speaking, the closer you go from the beach, the more fancy/trendy the venues are. The busiest party location in Canggu is certainly on Jalan Batu Bolong, near Old Man's. It can take some time to go from one street to the other as the roads are still tiny and in bad condition. Most p

Best Nightclubs and Bars to Meet Girls in Bali

Bali is a fantastic destination for single guys who want to meet girls. As soon as you arrive, you can download some popular dating apps and you'll be surprised by the high number of matches you will get. To be fair, there are also many prostitutes - especially on specific websites like Sugarbook  - so be aware of it. Another great way to meet girls in Bali is to visit bars and nightclubs, especially if you are staying around Kuta, Seminyak, and Canggu. I wrote extensively about the nightlife in those areas, most recently here: Bali Nightlife . In the following article, I will focus on the most recommended spots to meet girls. I've made sure to mention a diversity of venues so you are certain to find exactly what you are looking for. Is Bali Becoming a Sex Tourism Destination?

By Tibs →
One of the biggest changes to Bali nightlife since the past 5 years is the seemingly growing number of prostitution or semi-prostitution venues in Bali. Those places were once discreetly located in Sanur or in some seedy streets in Denpasar, but they are now everywhere and they are certainly not trying to hide. In Kartika Plaza, you have the new District Club which features sexy dancers and karaoke rooms with Lady Companions. It is owned by Tommy Winata, famous for being behind naughty clubs like Golden Crown in Jakarta. Other naughty KTVs include EC Bali, Tang Chao (for Chinese) and Level One. In Denpasar, Akasaka was extended with a new room called A-Club, also with sexy dancers and prostitutes. The old room in Akasaka is packed on weekends and during my visit there, I saw fully naked women trying to sell tequila shots to customers in exchange for private lap dances. Considering the head-banging music that was played there, we can imagine most people inside were taki

Karma Beach Club - Bali

By Tibs →
Karma Beach Club (previously called Nammos Beach Club) is the bar/restaurant of the Karma Kandara resort. Located on one of Bali's most beautiful beaches, it is unfortunately very expensive, snob and pretentious. It is also a pain in the ass to get there, especially if you don't have your own car.

Mirror Nightclub (Bali)

By Tibs →
Mirror is a nightclub located in Seminyak, on Jalan Petitenget. It is owned by the All-In group, which is also behind the popular Fable in Jakarta. It is a young and trendy company with a deep network among the young Indonesian elite. It is not a surprise that they manage to attract all the rich kids, especially those who don't mind spending several thousand dollars in one night for bottle service.

10 Best Hotels Near Bali Nightlife

By Tibs →
There are several reasons why you should choose a hotel near the  nightlife  in Bali: First, the traffic is terrible, even late at night, so if you go by car you will probably get stuck either in Jalan Legian, in Jalan Pantai Kuta or in Jalan Oberoi. Second, taxi drivers at night will try to cheat you most of the time, sometimes charging you 5 times the normal fare. Third, it is not safe to use a motorbike, particularly if you intend to drink. Not only you are at risk of an accident (see my article about Travel Insurance ), you could also be the prey of bag snatchers who operate between Kuta and Legian (read Bali Crime Wave ) You can make your holidays much more enjoyable by choosing a hotel in the right location, walking distance from the most famous nightclubs and bars. I selected 10 hotels, and in case that's not enough, I also added links to the best ones in each nightlife area. The properties listed here are all girl-friendly or guest-friendly, meaning they will allow yo

Motel Mexicola (Bali)

The Hype is there, in this place of Seminyak... You feel it as soon as you get in this Restaurant & Bar. First you have the decoration: How to describe it ? The owner of the place, Australian Adrian Reed, tried to imitate a 1960's Acapulco ambiance (in Mexico), with images of Mexican Wrestlers and "Dia de Muertos", the Mexican Holiday. It is very colorful and very impressive at first sight. When you look closely at it, it is mostly an accumulation of old objects, weird paintings on the wall and other decoration that doesn't make any sense. The people who are going to this place are 90% tourists and expats. That is the case for all the hype venues in Seminyak. Basically all the people who stay in Potato Head Beach Club during daytime are coming to this place after Beach/Pool time. The music is good and the place hosts many events since they have a stage in the middle of the Bar. I like to go there for a drink since the place is very open. Pricewis
