Liquid Exchange is a long, elegant bar and restaurant located in the new Jakarta mall Epicentrum Walk. Owned by the group behind Aphrodite, it is in my opinion more upscale, and targets primarily expatriates and executives living in Taman Rasuna. It is not packed, but never empty, and I think it will get even more popular over time.
The main originality of Liquid Exchange is that the prices of cocktails may change, just like stocks do on a regular stock exchange. It is amusing, even though you never get incredible discounts.
Practical Information:
Open from 10am to midnight everyday.
Lunch set starting Rp. 45,000 only (as of November 13th, 2010, it should get higher)

I have been there twice, and already have plan to go there soon because I think it's a nice place to hang out and have chit chat with friends. It has indoor and outdoor sides, I use to sit in the outdoor, much light, fresh air, and also nice background (building lights) to get pictures with friends hehe.. The indoor side is darker, and a bit noisy with the live band or the music from the DJ. Both side have chairs, tables and sofas and also bars. I really recommend this place, because the place is nice and all the workers especially the manager are very friendly. But i think it needs a little bit more space. I'm an Indonesian girl but still need more space, I'm sure the Bule more need it since they are bigger than me.. hehe :D
ReplyDeleteSorry for my limited English, I hope you all understand. =)
So, see ya there!
Nice place. Very convenient for both dates or just regular hang out with friends. Food is good, the band is awesome. Nice crowd as well. Never packed, but it's never empty. Been there a couple times and surely will keep coming back. Unfortunately, if you're Indonesian and you're there with Indonesian friends, the waiters and bartenders are not as nice as compared to if you're visiting with expatriates in your group. But other than that, it's all good. Recommended.
