The oldest Jakarta expats may remember that FrontPage stands where the popular Cinnabar, one of the first modern bar to open in the city, used to be.

Frontpage is not making the same buzz, but it is a good address to know because the food is excellent (mainly Indian dishes) and because you have a great selection of wines. The owner is the same than Maroush and Anatolia, both Middle-eastern/Indian restaurants with an excellent reputation.

  1. Great food. The chef Virendra will amaze you with dishes from all corners from India. You just ask him, he'll most probably be able to make it for you. Forget the menu. Just call for him. Great guy. Went there couple of days ago. Had panneer mildly flavoured and grilled with a special sauce. Then had Punjabi masala chicken and roomali roti. Best Indian food so far tasted in Jakarta. Cheers...

  2. waste of time to go here, too quiet. Better to spend your money at Face Bar with great Indian and Thai food, just around the corner of Front Page.
